i'm almost crazy now. it was in my bag in my classroom.

robber can be my classboys, i said to my class teacher but he didn't do anything but my class boys sAId that he controled all boys. anyway i'm very upset , angry and dull now. i used it for 3 months. my brother is pupil in other country. and he sent it to me. now he is very upset for me. of course finding money isn't easy for him! but he bought it for me! but now i don't know where is that mp3 player now. what can i do now? i hate myself. of course it was my faulnt. if i paid more attention to my mp3, it wouldn't lost!

LET GO!! If you are too attached to something, when it's gone, you lose a part of yourself. Your brother bought the mp3 player for you, it's a great gesture and it shows it cares. But it is exactly that, it's a gesture! You lost the mp3 player, but you didn't lose his message: that he cares for you and he wanted to show you an act of kindness. Anyway, you might be better off, because new research suggests that mp3's and walkman's etc... can lead to deafness in the future, because people have a tendency to listen to it for too long and too loud.

I got an Mp3 player yesterday, and we've tried to put songs on it, and it didn't work. Well, it's doing something very weird now. That's a common problem with ripping CD's to MP3 players, heck even I suffer from it.

Sadly there isn't really much you can do, the CD has protection on it which is automatically transferred to the MP3 player with the music files. When you play it just won't allow you to play it because it's protected.

There is NOTHING you can do.

you could just buy a MP3 player and never have to rip it too a CD. it bothers the hell out of me too
try a different CD ripper, and change the bit rate of your mp3s you are ripping.some mp3 players wont play certian quality of mp3. so check the bit rate of the ones you download.

no no no, newer cars with factory cd players DO play mp3 discs. and to get a decent in-dash unit you'll be lookin to spend at least $500 to $600. i'd be skeptical of anything less. unless it maybe doesnt have navigation in it.

as for recommendations...

pioneer makes pretty good ones, tho i'm having an overheating problem with the one i have now. not sure why, complicated :(.

usually if you stereo is the one that comes with the car from the factory it probably wont play mp3 disc try getting an aftermarket stereo that plays them the box shood say if it dose or not the touch screen that you refer to is called an "in-dash" the cheapes one that you probably be able to find is around 300 dollars and they usually do play mp3 discs
ANY head unit onver 1000 dollars will give you those faetures.
I would recommend that you look for the MP3 logo on the stereo and make sure its a quality brand such as Kenwood, pioneer and alpine, I would suggest speaking to a specialist but you can probably pick up a decent one for about 锟?0, there abouts!

There's most likely a loose soldering connection the headphone jack to the circuit board inside. If you're experienced in soldering, you could probably fix it yourself, but if you open your mp3 player up it will violate any warranty. I'd just send it in to the manufacturer to get repaired/replaced.

My friend Alex has had this for a while, and never really wanted to upgrade to an iPod, he is a music lover so his opinion is something I would go with.

I think it looks sleek, so if you really want a decent Mp3 player that's not of the iPod nature this definately seems like a good alternative.

I have the e280, which is the same player with more memory, and I love it. It's easy to use, plays music, video, and fm radio, has good battery life, and is really nice looking. I've had it for about 6 months now and haven't had any problems with it at all. It's pretty cheap too. I would highly recommend it.

MP3 cassette adapter problem?

I just bought a Philips cassette adapter for my mp3 player and I can't get it to work right. I hook everything up and push the cassette adapter in, the music plays for a few seconds, then the tape flips to the other side and stops playing. Now the cassette is stuck and the radio won't recognize it or eject it. The cassette player plays regular tapes just fine. What could be the problem?

First you have to get it out of the cassette deck, but one that's done try flipping it. There should be 2 screws that allow you to change the direction that you slide the cassette into your player. Basically just undo the 2 screws and pull the cord over to the other sides so it will be flipped when you put it in your player.

It worked for me. Also, if your cassette player has the buttons to "switch sides" you can try pushing that as well.

It's actually not an mp3 player you use, I have one called mp4, and I can watch music videos and if I want I can save a movie there (if I have enough space in disk since they come with 1gb, 2 gb, and mine's 4 gb capacity) and watch it, you have to convert videos to a special format but that's it.
If you want an mp3 player rather than mp4 I would use an iPod, well I do to be honest.

They are not the cheapest but they are well made %26amp; look superb.

Buy an 80GB one so you can get lots of movies %26amp; audio on it.

How to split mp3 without CUE file?

My friend has given me a dvd with crazy house and trance music sets. The only problem is that the sets come as very large mp3 fiels. So as an example I have say 5 mp3 files each being about 120 megs running about 2 hours with about 10-20 songs inside of them.

There were no cue files for these huge mp3s. So I'm trying to figure what application can take these huge mp3s and maybe based on beats or frequency, intelligently cut them into individual separate tracks.

let's assume he downloaded the live cd's off of a torrent site.

The easiest thing you could do, is to search for the specific live cd on various torrent sites. Exclude the mp3 version. Just download the .cue version.

Other than that, you'd have to download an opensource audio editor called "audacity".

It'll open up the mp3 file, but you'd have to mark the area which you'd want to remove, cut it, open up a new window, paste it and export it. It's easy, but it takes time.

I can't help u with the USB swivel, but i can warn u not to waste ur time. I bought the KP1000 1GB audiophase mp3 player two weeks ago. my USB swivel worked fine, but when I tried to add songs to it, it only played 40 of 100 or so songs that I put on it. I tried it again and it only played 13. Then it froze on me and said I had no files on it. I returned it and got another one thinking I bought a defective mp3 player, but that one did the same thing. I bought it from Kmart and the salesperson told me that two more people returned theirs too with the same problem. She also said that one of the customers called the customer service number on the package and they said the chip in the mp3 player was too small and wouldn't hold as many songs as it should. So if u have ur receipt, and it's not too late, return it and get another mp3 player. San disk works pretty good, and I got another audiophase mp3 player (it's a newer model, and it stores pictures, video, voice recording, mp3 and wav music, and has a FM radio to it and you can record songs played on the radio stations) and it's working pretty good so far.

I've been wanting to buy an mp3 player for awhile. but haven't had the money but now i have a job but don't wanna blow all the money right away. so i want to put either a creative zen or zune on lay a way. can someone tell me how it works? and their opinion on if i should get a zune or creative zen.

Layaway in general, works in the method of paying in installments.

Most places, you'll spend about 1/2 the cost of the item for them reserving it for you!

When you really want something, you put it on layaway. The fees are relatively high when the item is hot!

If you pay layaway one month, then don't pay it the next month, and someone wants the item you're wanting to have reserved, the store may not care. They might sell it anyway.

All depends on how bad you want it.

Rather than paying a store in installments then getting the product, why don't you pay yourself in in stallments-set aside the money-then buy the product?

As for which one to get, I suggest you read the specs for the one's you are interested in and reading product reviews. Hopefully objective one's.

MP3 player trouble!?

I put some songs on my mp3 player (Insignia 4gb, blue tooth) they worked fine for a couple of months then every time I went to a certain song it would make a beep noise then wait a second and then play it. I just tried to play it but it makes the beep sound and totally skips the song. Any help?

I have an Mp3-Wma portable cd player and I want to know how do I make a cd into 5 different albums other than just one album with alot of songs....how do I seperate it. I have buttons that allow me to go to different albums but I dont know how to create different albums when i burn the cd

That is so easy dude. You just create a play list in Windows media player. In windows media player go into file then into play list. Name your play list then add 10 to 13 songs and then go onto another play list name it add 10 to 14 songs and so on. If you don't have windows media player download it at www.windows.com its free.

Generally, each gig holds 500 songs, so 8 x 500 = 4000.

So it holds about 4000, but depending on the format and size of your songs, that could varry.

This depends on the quality of the audio you like. With high compression and lower quality you could squeeze around 4000 with very high quality mp3 files you should get around 3500.

I think 8000 is more than a bit over the mark.

Also consider that 8 gigs is 8x1024 megabytes but most manufactures will con you out of a few MBs by using the formula 8x1000 MBs (192 MBs less than advertised), plus the operating system and file allocation table will use up some extra MBs as well.

You'll probably find that the player will only have around 7.5 to 7.8 gigs of free usable memory.
Its supposed to be able to hold 2000 songs, but how many it acutally holds depends on the size of your songs

I think that's because your MP3 player doesn't support WMA format, but it is downloaded to it, because it can be used as an external storing device. Try an audio format converter like Audio Catalist to change the format to MP3.

My guess is that the song you downloaded either did not download completely, or its not what you thought you downloaded. Check the size, and compare it to other mp3's you have downloaded, if its a small number then you probably didnt get the whole song or complete the download. Try downloading it again, I would recommend from another source.
Either your mp3 player can't play .wma files, or the file itself is corrupted. Go to the almighty web and download another copy! This time make sure it's mp3 format, just to make sure. I recommend Bearshare.com or Limewire.com.
Might be a corrupted file, try and load it again, or your player might not play WMA files.
Maybe the file is corrupt or didn't complete the download fully. Try downloading the file again. You could also try playing it on something else to see if it works there.
Its because it is in windows media format...do you mean that you have ripped it from a CD...if this is the case it will only play on windows media...you can get a convertor though that will convert to .mp3 at www.download.com
check the bitrate. usually the standard mp3 player will play an mp3 at 128kbit/44.1khz. If you downloaded the mp3 and it was at 96kbit/32.khz, the specific program you are using may not be able to decode it at such a low rate. If you have a program that converts your bitrates, convert it to 128kbit/44.1khz. The way you can check the bitrate is by right mouse clicking on the mp3 and selecting properties. Also make sure you infact downloaded an mp3 and not the file as an .ogg or .aiff. If it is downloaded as any other format than mp3 then you will need to convert it TO mp3.
is it a protected song like through napster? if so, you have to have a compatible device to play that file properly, or you have to pay the 99 cents to have a burnable copy of the song. its called DRM, digital rights management, and it prevents people from sharing songs that they have not purchased. if you subscribe to napster to go, you pay like 5 more bucks a month, but you can put those songs on CERTAIN compatible mp3 players, they have a list.
If its in the Windows Media format then it`s probably WMA NOT MP3.Not every MP3 player plays WMA format.
