they are probably not mp3 files. You can check them on your pc by checking the file format in the properties menu (right-click on the song %26amp; go to properties or file info). It is probably a WMA file.

You will need to write the song to a cd as a music file, then rip it frim the cd to your pc into mp3 format using windows media player. Be sure to change the settings to rip into mp3 format. Once you have ripped it, you can copy the mp3 file to a cd %26amp; it will play on the vcd player.

R u burning those files onto CD-R or CD-RW? Some players r not able 2 play mp3 files from CD-RW. Try burning again onto 1 of these CDs. If 2 no avail, convert them into .cda. U can use Nero 7 Ultra Edition 2 convert them.
the quality of the disk writing could be a factor.

also, some players require licenses, codecs, oddbs, etc. which some files do not have.

the quality of the mp3 might also be a factor.
Maybe the files have some codecs that the player doesn't support.
To convert the files, you need Nero burning Rom. If you select mp3s it converts them to audio tracks, just like on the bought CDs. It is possible that you cannot play them because the disc might be damaged, although on the PC they are ok. You could re-burn them on another CD. But necessary check they are mp3.
You might be referring to those files with extension .MP3 (capital lettres). Such files have something unusual. It shows bitrate 0kbps.

Tripledox is very correct...

CODECS......

You should use Nero 7 Ultra Edition's Encode Files prog (from Nero StartSmart --%26gt; Audio) Convert those files to proper mp3.
mp3 is the name of the compression standard, in this

standard, there are some variables which can be adjusted

- the bit rate for example. this can result in a better quality (larger files, higher bit rate) or are smaller files (for use in portable

devices where you usually don't need the superior quality).

my guess is your vcd player plays the typical bit rates (128 or

192), but not the other one possible. just a guess, though.
